Restaurant, Food, & Beverage Leaders Fight Global Hunger
Action Against Hunger’s annual Restaurants Against Hunger Campaign (RAH) partners with leaders from the food and beverage industry to bring attention to problem of global hunger. Each year, the campaign raises vital funds and support for Action Against Hunger’s life-saving humanitarian programs.

Resaurants Against Hunger Toledo | Toledo, Spain - October, 2010
Our sister headquarters, ACF-Spain launches its first Restaurants Against Hunger Campaign with 40 participating restaurants in the province of Toledo and its capital. ACF-Spain hopes to launch its second RAH campaign in October, inviting more than 36 provinces in Spain to participate.
ACF International consists of five independent organizations headquartered in New York (ACF-USA), Paris (ACF-France), Madrid (ACF-Spain), London (ACF-UK), and Montreal (ACF-Canada). Each headquarters oversees their own Restaurants Against Hunger campaign, more information on their campagins can be found below:
Year Long Partnerships
Among food-related events, we collaborate on a variety of creative projects to customize how our partners support ACF's Restaurants Against Hunger initiative. Here are just a few examples:
- Book Residual: Simon Lee donates residuals from his book, The Restaurant Dream?
- Menu: Café Joul donates $1 from sales of select dishes.
- Photography: Jacques Pepin supports ACF through his presence in Andrew Zuckerman's book, Wisdom.
- Gift Certificate: Brasserie Julien provides 30% off for any donation to ACF.
- Online traffic: MixMenu of Boston donates a portion of its proceeds from its online sales.
The 2010 Season: Upcoming Events
Le Grand Fooding NYC-SF | Long Island City, NY - September 24th & 25th 2010
At this second annual Le Fooding event, six top New York and six top San Francisco chefs throw yet another not-to-be-missed gathering at the P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center, along with help from acclaimed mixologists, DJs, and graphic designers. All proceeds benefit Action Against Hunger.
Sixth Annual Great Gathering of Chefs | New York, NY - September 28th 2010
Come mingle with 150 of New York’s top chefs at the Prince George Ballroom as they sign copies of the newly-released cookbooks, Pasta and Pudding, in the afternoon. Stay for a dazzling evening and enjoy tastings from the cookbooks. Enjoy good food, great company, and the chance to leave with signed editions of these beautifully photographed cookbooks. All proceeds benefit Action Against Hunger.
Cook.Eat.Drink.Live. | New York, NY - November 12 through 14, 2010
Three days of tastings, gourmet products, and live demonstrations featuring celebrity chefs and industry experts. Kick-start your holiday dining and shopping season at The Tunnel/La.Venue in Chelsea. Action Against Hunger is proud to be the 2010 charity partner for this event. All proceeds benefit Action Against Hunger.
New York's 2nd Annual Tour de Champagne | New York, NY - November 2010
Action Against Hunger is proud to be the charity partner for Tour de Champagne's 2nd year in a row: One evening of pairings of very select champagne with fare from some of New York’s many great restaurants.
Come early and sign up for the special Vintage Seminar - there are only 50 seats available!
Unable to come early? Come to the Tour de Champagne main event and sample champagnes from more than 20 Champagne Houses, enjoy live music, and sample bites from local restaurants. Make sure to bid in the Silent Auction, as all proceeds from it benefit Action Against Hunger.
